How to Send Connector Drawings for RFQ

A useful connector RFQ identifies the product, dimensions, mounting style, material or plating, quantity and application. PDF is enough for quotation; STEP or DWG helps when the housing or terminal must be modified.

Minimum information

Item	What to send
Product	Kirision product number, existing part number or clear photos
Geometry	Pitch, rows, positions, plastic height, mating length and solder tail
Mounting	Through-hole, right angle or SMT plus PCB footprint
Finish	Tin, gold flash or specified gold thickness and plated area
Commercial	Sample quantity, annual or batch quantity and destination

File choice

PDF: dimensions, tolerances and quotation review.
STEP/STP: enclosure clearance and 3D assembly checking.
DWG/DXF: editable 2D geometry when a new drawing is required.
Photos: show front, side, bottom, mating face and packaging label.
BOM: useful when several connector positions must be quoted together.

Before sending

Mark critical dimensions rather than asking the factory to infer them from a photo. State which dimensions may be customized and which must remain fixed. Include the mating connector whenever insertion depth or polarity matters.
